marine 2004/7/24 - 10:52:50 Title:The Captured Princess and Knight
I tried many texture^^; ri-su 2004/7/24 - 11:22:19 wow. that is so pretty! the shading, the texture...the eyes are so nice aswell! i like the pattern on the princesses collar...thing. heavenlystrike 2004/7/24 - 12:35:32 wow this is Uber PRetty o_Ô ahh it makes me think of the princess in Magic Knight Rayearth! Ahh so lovely! the shading is so soft and very pretty...the eyes are really what I like the most in the pic they are so mesmerizing the contrast between blue and red is amazing oOahh and the hair is really really great too! the picture looks like it'S taken directly from a manga! aMAZinG! kaira 2004/7/24 - 17:53:5 Wow... It has such a medevil painting feel to it. I really like the knight's eyes... *stares into them* And those spider webs in the bg just contribute to the eerie feeling going on with the knight colored in that icy gray blue. Awesome job! ^_^ mitsu 2004/7/24 - 18:34:7 I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something truly magical about this picture. The transparency and composition are great. Reminds me of a scene from an anime or game. ^_^ aikara 2004/7/24 - 22:53:18 I love the transparent person on the right, the eyes are mesmerizing like the others. I love the shading and the skin tone..They are so pretty kaiomi 2004/7/25 - 14:31:10 The eyes remind me of clamp. I love how you merged the two people together. And the coloring for everything is really soft-ish and light. ^___^ Very nice job!

hoshi 2004/7/24 - 3:22:37 I have no idea if this should be in the polished room. I would like to have in the polished room but yeah... I feel like it doesn't deserve to go into the polished room.
Anyways the orange background is suppose to that the sun is setting in the background. The person in the blue and white is actually a girl but it doesn't seem like it. Hoshi can be found in the doodle room. The girl with red hair is Kotori. The last panel is suppose to blood and that people (bandits) are lying dead. Yeah it's another scene from another one of my story. (I need to stop doing this). Hoshi is trying to stop Kotori from seeing the scene in front of them, but Kotori manages to see it.
Yeah well I'm not going to comment on what's wrong or what I don't like because it's going to talk too long.
C&C are welcome kougra_girl 2004/7/24 - 11:5:14 to show shock, her eyes need to be smaller, especially the pupil.
good job on the coloring though! ^.^ i like the first panel. don't ask why. i just do xD

mogily 2004/7/24 - 1:32:41 Bweee~ I had fun with this. I know there are a lot of things wrong, and the girl doesn't really match the bg, but oh well~ :D I meant to make her look blonde and sad, but she looks more like a bored brunette...
Is anyone here planning on attending AWA (even though it's a while away)? You have to tell me because it is a RULE SO TELL ME. >:D obscure 2004/7/24 - 2:15:22 never heard of AWA.
and no, she doesn't look brunette, just a dishwater blonde. and not bored, just forlorn. i think you made it to your goal of blonde and sad. ;] keko 2004/7/24 - 3:14:24 I think this is lovely. It has a nice calm feel to it. Plus, I love the no-line style. She looks like she's in deep thought...about something stressful. X3
And I plan on going to AWA! I've went the last two years, and it was great both times. I just hope I can find the funds to go this time. aikara 2004/7/24 - 22:54:22 Lineless art=really cool. The background is pretty too, and I agree with her looking blonde and sad. The hands are just awsome! I envy those hands..and the face is really pretty. char 2004/7/25 - 3:15:12 I like how you've shaded the hair, nice and shiny! XD I like the scribbly style you used too!

obscure 2004/7/24 - 1:19:46 murmur is said to be one of the most beautiful words in the english language.
i still think cellar-door is prettier. mogily 2004/7/24 - 1:35:14 Oh wow, cool stuff. Yay for murmur and cellar door! I think echidna is a cool word. Along with magnet, azure, and masticate XD bbh 2004/7/24 - 21:35:57 I like the word....obscure! XD This is nice adn smoothly drawn. aikara 2004/7/24 - 22:54:56 I like the textures and the way you wrote murmer..The glass is rockin. starrbroken 2004/7/25 - 17:32:30 The textures are rockin'. And two words, Donny Darko. laurie-kay 2004/7/26 - 19:34:46 OMFG *dies* I absolutely lurve donnie darko~ Fav movie of all time. And yes, cellar door is prettier, but murmur, as a singular word is the most beautiful in my own opinion. ^^ I *heart* the way you wrote that too, by the by. ~<3 shokora 2004/7/27 - 18:50:43 X_X lurve the colors <3 really~ and if not used correctly, text can ruin a picture :3 you made it great though. good job ^_^

fid99 2004/7/23 - 18:6:13 trying out new stuff....is it oki if i put it here ?? if not u can move it to the doodle room ^^;
C&C welcomed :P draco_plato 2004/7/23 - 18:16:50 Wow those hands....I'm in love with her hands! The hair is also very fetching, great coloring. purrdy 2004/7/23 - 18:18:19 *stares for a couple minutes* Wow! This is so prettyyy! *.* That dress is gorgeous!
One crit... The hands seem a little big. The hands are usually the length from the chin it the hairline on the face. ^.^ Buuut that's really not a problem! Still looks awesome! blahzey 2004/7/23 - 23:43:55 I don't think that they'll move this to doodle, you spent a great deal of time on it. Actually the only problems that I see, are the hands; they do seem to be a bit too big; but that seems to be your style. My friend draws them extra long, it's all up to the artist really. Also the shading, the shading on her clothing doesn't coincide with the birght orb. Also shouldn't the shading be a bit darker because the orb is so bright? And the line art on the medallion seems much harder than the rest of the lineart, so it really sticks out. But i do really enjoy your soft coloring, very pleasing to the eye. And I love how you do hair, it looks so soft. Very nicely done.
~Blahzey mogily 2004/7/24 - 1:35:43 Oh... pretty hair *_* coleslaw 2004/7/25 - 16:20:44 you have the most beautiful style. i love the eyes, the face, THE HAIR. ugh, the hair is perfect. i save so many of your pictures just for the hair, it's so beautiful. great clothing folds :)

My return to oekaki after two weeks, yay! kougra_girl 2004/7/22 - 21:41:10 the bg looks realistic *.* mr. devil guy looks agitated XD good job on the shading ^.^ i like the girls shirt too! kaiomi 2004/7/23 - 1:2:27 I was wondering where you were all this time! I love that guy's hair... and his horns :3 Those two would make quite a cute couple ^_^ ...of course after I glomp him first bbh 2004/7/23 - 3:8:28 I missed your artwork!! *hugs you* This is so cool, I love those horns. ^o^ jellybean 2004/7/23 - 10:28:14 aah, seeing your work makes me all happy inside cuz its always REALLY good...you need to become a famous artist or SOMETHING because your unique style must be shared with the world!! :) heavenlystrike 2004/7/23 - 13:26:48 Welcome back n.n I was starting to wonder where you were o_ô and maybe you were eaten by a big giant purple monster with only one eye and no HaIR! that would have been HOrRiBlE! ok...Ahh i love the light brown lineart it looks so great and soft...she makes me think of a child...ahh hot guy in the back *winks* Amazing work! purrdy 2004/7/23 - 18:23:59 Yay! You're back! I missed your art. *cry, sniffle, hug* hmm.. Is that a... kitty on her shirt?? *snuggles her shirt* Awesome job as always.
Now, you know you're going to have to share your skills right? v.v blahzey 2004/7/23 - 23:36:59 Very nice smooth lineart and a unique style you have there. I admit it I watched the animation and saw how many different ideas you had and they all looked very nice. I love the fact that the soft colors you used softens up the cel-shading. Very nice background also, all in all a wonderdul job done.
~Blahzey mogily 2004/7/24 - 1:36:47 Everything is so smooth o_o Beautiful as always~ mitsu 2004/7/24 - 18:37:23 Ooo the soft palette on the girl is wonderful and so easy on the eyes. I wonder how a cute little lady like that could have anything to do with that shady character on the right. XP aikara 2004/7/24 - 22:57:26 That pink shirt is funny..the big eyed cat..hehe. I love the brown skintone, and the shadin is so smooth and lovely. I envy the way you did the anatomy @_@ The expression is really cool, and neat uh antlers(?) coming out of the head. Both of the hair is nice and flowy.

keko 2004/7/22 - 13:52:10 This is Bidelle, all mouse drawn. Not my character! It's for a contest. I happened to like the look of her, so I decided to enter. I know, the coloring is horrid, but I get so exasperated and feel like I have to finish *nownownow*. -_-;; The time is a little off I think, but probably only by 30 minutes or so.
C&C is welcome. keko 2004/7/22 - 13:55:41 Uh, I take that back. o_o I certainly did not work 6 hours on this! XD Wow. I'd have to say it probably took around 1 hour and 30 minutes... My boyfriend kept kicking me off the computer though, so the browser stayed on for quite a while. -_-;; sandra 2004/7/22 - 14:2:11 Your lines are so expressive, and everything's so shinyyyy! That glowing green ball is insanely mesmerizing... *stare* The only problem I see is she's a bit cramped at the left side of the pic. draco_plato 2004/7/22 - 16:16:27 Ooo sexy body. monkeyman 2004/7/22 - 17:22:3 hehe...yes...very sexy! lol!
excellent work on the anatony! i love how you did the lighting! wonderful job! coleslaw 2004/7/22 - 18:24:30 woah, what an awesome freakin body!!!!!!!! i love it! :D beautiful hair, too. heavenlystrike 2004/7/22 - 18:41:51 Ahh how lovely! she'S so pretty and it's so shiny I love the anatomy! Ahh I thought it was Din, in Zelda Oracle of Season! Ah it's so cute without even seeing the other ones, I say you win n_n aH XD amazing, amazing AMAZING! keko 2004/7/23 - 4:4:8 Ah! Thank you, thank you, all of you. ^^ If I could, I'd use the dodge tool all the time. XD I love that thing. jellybean 2004/7/23 - 10:25:20 thats really good! the onlyy things i can see wrong are that the arms are a bit short, they should reach about lower-mid-thigh when hanging down , and (her) left shoulder and armpit are a little wonky (just a little, its still very good) because of the way the upper arm shrinks a little. the ears are a little off but thats just me, maybe with her eyes open they are fine...ok, well, great job on the dodge tool work, you are very lucky to be able to use that with out butchering a pic! and i looove the hair, its so flowy!! and i JUST noticed there were candles...heh hehh.... well, this is a really good pic!! coleslaw 2004/7/23 - 17:34:37 oh, i didn't know you asked for c&c! sorry! let's see..
her head is too big for the rest of her body, it should be much smaller. the hair is beautiful, but the shading could be a little more intricate. though i understand you ran out of time. the way the ear connects to the face is very, very odd. it should connect to the hinge of the jawbone, and the neck actually comes from behind the ear, not right under it.
as other people have mentioned, the arms are much too short. they look more short because the forearm is very large. also, the upper arm is very thin, which looks very weird. the line indicating the armpit should curve downward a little more, and be a little bit farther to the left. the right breast looks a little bigger than the other, because the right side of the breast swings a little wide. the lower body is very good, but perhaps the right thigh is curved a little bit too much onthe top. also, the foot seems to be curving up, which looks odd. it should be flat behind her, most likely. also, the background looks odd, because it doesn't stand out the same way the rest of the picture does. also, the shading should be much darker, because the light source is so bright (the highlights are bright white) and so close. other than that, it's beautiful!
i love the hands, and i love the positioning of the body and of the arms! very wonderful, i can't get over how beautiful the hair is, either. :D awesome job :) blahzey 2004/7/23 - 23:32:3 This is truly beautiful, and everything that I could possibly see wrong with this pic has been said already. Heh, I really enjoy the glow on the skin, but the fact that the shading isn't darker kind of distracts me a bit. Though I love the motion of the hair and the pattern on the clothing. I enjoy the fact that I can actually see hints of the dripping wax on the candles as well. Great job.
~Blahzey keko 2004/7/24 - 3:24:57 Thank you very much for the kind criticisms. ^_^ I noticed that her arms were much too short while I was drawing. I'm not sure why I didn't fix them... I think it's because they looked dainty to me? I also noticed that her head was much too big. Again, just something I decided to leave alone. The upper arm thinning? A mistake I saw, then forgot about. I'm so impatient! I see now that her ear was left unattended to. THIS is why C&C should be welcome for everyone, even if they aren't serious about a picture. For some reason I didn't catch the ear at all before I sent this in. Now, I admit that I was lazy on most of this picture, but I almost never leave an ear without at least a small amount of detail (not to mention, it looks like someone stretched it away from her head a bit XD!!). I'm so glad someone pointed it out, though it does make me squeamish. It keeps looking more weird and weird!
Anyway, thank you for pointing it out. It's hard for me to see things on pictures I've just finished. It's weird though! You can look back at things you did a year ago and see all the mistakes you did on *those*.
Next time, I'll try not to be so lazy. XD Shading is so irritating.. aikara 2004/7/25 - 0:59:24 I like the body, and even tho the arms is a tad too short, I like how you drew the position of the hands. Her dress is really pretty too..I really like this.

gljello 2004/7/22 - 6:44:59 Yay, first post -- Self portrait
Laziness tells me I shouldn't upload the reference XD gljello 2004/7/22 - 6:49:1 Oops, forgot, C&C extremely welcomed.
Bleh board rule... z1ggy 2004/7/22 - 9:46:35 Good lighting work! Those highlights really add personality, too ^^ aikara 2004/7/22 - 13:35:47 Oh nice!!! I love the style you used on the realism..The coloring is awsome! I love how you used blue in the shading! Very cool! The only thing I see is the nose looks a bit flat, but that could just be how the nose is spose to be so don't listen to me <.< Wow...This is awsome! I love the ear and eyes. The lips is cool looking too blahzey 2004/7/23 - 23:29:10 Very nice the array of colors you used really coincide with the realistic feel. The only shady parts that I happen to see is the ear, there's some real intricate shading on the ear usually with all the pronounce cartilage, also the nose does seem a wee bit flat. Really nice, and the background goes along nicely with the picture. Great job.

tayley-chan 2004/7/21 - 23:12:56 One of these days I'll stop drawing random evil and/or angsty pretty boys.
Today is not that day.
This one's name is Mortechai. He's not evil. He just has the occasional rage. ^_^ kaiomi 2004/7/22 - 4:20:0 If you stop drawing pretty boys, I think I'll die XP I love everything you've drawn here so far ^___^ Mmmm...you pulled off making a guy look really good with pink hair very well. kaira 2004/7/22 - 5:30:19 We agree with Kaiomi, so don't you dare stop drawing pretty boys ^_~ ...and I love this one's eyes. They're like so demon-like. And normally I shudder at the sight of pink, but I think I can stand his hair just because the rest of him is so awesome ^_^ kiwi 2004/7/22 - 11:57:38 But evil and angstyness are good! I love your pretty evil angsty boys so don't stop drawing them!!! I love the emotion you get from this one, and I love his outfit and the wingies!! The pink hair does go really well with him too yupyup. I love the the swirly, wiggly, tenticle-ie thingies you have in the background and foreground, and I love the textures you've done on the whole pic! I can't believe you did his shirt's texture by hand! It looks like one of the default textures! Very well done! aikara 2004/7/22 - 13:37:24 He is really pretty indeed! I love the expression and the tears. I envy those eyes...o.O I like the darkness around him, goes really well with the character. The shading and stuff is awsome aswell. Yeah he looks really cool o.O sandra 2004/7/22 - 13:49:53 Aieee! Too cool! I love his eyes and that funky watch and the little wings on his head. Your lineart is divinely clean, too. *envy* blahzey 2004/7/23 - 23:25:47 Beautiful angsty boys, by the way. Very nice shading and display of a strong emotion. The background really does help display conflicted and painful emotions as well. Nice use of the texture, very nice work.
