mod fun
jakusama 2010/1/5 - 20:24:52
I love the way you blend so many kinds of styles - there's airbrush, watercolor, penwork, and tons of texture. It's all so neat and intricate and I love the way the background, compliments the piece. :)

Ever wonder what our inner demons would look like if we could see them? Meet Ahna. When she gets that twinkle in her eye, the whole world runs for cover.

Play nice.
dorothyblu 2010/1/3 - 3:11:37

phil 2010/1/23 - 16:49:13

I don't know why I like this so much, but I do! I think it really, really worked. And the background is always really cool, too!

Happy Holidays-
jakusama 2010/1/19 - 10:43:22
Hee! I like how sharp the eyes are compared to everything else. My eyes go right to her eyes, and then my focus ends up at the pencil. It's a really neat effect, and I love the hair.

Robot at rest;a mess,though.
jakusama 2010/1/19 - 10:44:15
I love your textures. I don't think I can stress that enough. Do you plan these pictures or do they just evolve into this? It's so neat, I love the monochrome, and its very evocative, in a way.
phil 2010/1/23 - 16:51:28
AGH! this is mad i love it and i have no idea why!

maybe this is Mount Hood in Oregon, not exactly but I tried; it looked really beautifully gorgeous lately, near Portland, Oregon, covered with snow.
naty 2009/12/6 - 12:29:24
Reminds me of whipped cream :d
Nice color usage ^^
jakusama 2010/1/19 - 10:45:20
Ooo, I like it! It reminds me of Denali up in Alaska. Probably about the same, very big, very pretty. I like the softness to the snow/ice.

I forgot I asked my sister to come here, and look at my art,and I sometimes get angry at her,and let off steam in drawings;and now I'm apologizing for that.
dorothyblu 2009/11/24 - 20:1:38
Oh,God,if the prresident see's my pictures of him,he'll sentence me to Iraq!!On the wrong side!sheeesh. What a bad temper of satire and nasty drawing I have?Pres. Obama,I did not mean it,i"m SORRY,I'M JUST A CRAZY HARMLESS PERSON. HA HA
jakusama 2010/1/19 - 10:47:3
Aww, what a sweet idea to make a picture for her. And I totally understand. That's what sisters do. I fight with mine a lot, but at the end of the day I love her very much. That's so sweet of you to do that. :)

phil 2009/11/22 - 16:18:47
oo this looks like it was fun! id like to have a go at this :) like the colours u used and the nose and mouth are so well done!
shadrad 2009/11/24 - 17:28:24
I love all the scribbliness (is that a word? O_o). It gives the picture character and looks awesome to boot! ^___^
jakusama 2010/1/19 - 10:48:17
I agree with Shadrad on the scribbliness (we can just make it a word, it applies, I think.) It's a really neat effect, not unlike impressionist pictures, but with lines instead of dots. Love the colors, too. Very compelling, but very subtle. I like it.

shadrad 2009/11/19 - 21:7:23
Having fun with linelessness. Not much else to say otherwise ^^; Well, I guess the anatomy is a bit iffy, but ehhh.

Just felt like drawing on here again. :D
phil 2009/11/22 - 16:19:47
Awsome love her face and how she blends into the... ive decided its water :) at the base of a water fall and shes having a shower... ne ways i like it lots!
jakusama 2010/1/19 - 10:49:34
Regardless of the anatomy, your shading is phenomenal. I love it. Will you teach me? <3 Sharp clean ends to the body line and then very natural-looking shading. Excellent job, and very beautiful pose.

I always take these breaks from drawing and come back hoping to understand anatomy a bit better. It seems to have worked every time.
shadrad 2009/11/19 - 18:33:25
I love all the warm colors in here, very soft and pretty! ^____^
phil 2009/11/22 - 16:20:39
the handddddddddssssss u rule hands :) and neck bones!
jakusama 2010/1/19 - 10:50:34
I'm panting over the hands. So soft, so dainty, so... perfectly drawn!!! Beautiful, soft colors, too. Love the hair.

woman sitting; i came back to finish this and decided it was finished. i was surprised i liked it. maybe i'm developing a painting style i like, studies that are calm,i wonder if i should go back to portraits(i plan to do one of a friend, she's got beautiful skin.)no, i don't like the hand.
naty 2009/12/6 - 12:31:47
I'm digging the textures in this :]
jakusama 2010/1/19 - 10:53:9
It's funny, how you can keep saving stuff and coming back, and at some point it's just finished. I try not to submit anything until I get that feeling of it being finished, but I'm not always successful. Impatience weighs in, sometimes. Whatever style you're developing, I like it. She looks very relaxed and peaceful, but tired, as if she's been chasing after children (or farm animals or something) all day and maybe her back hurts and it's the first time she gets to sit down and rest during the day. I like coming up with stories in my head for your pictures, they're always so interesting. :) Sorry it took me so long to comment on this one.
