Queen--(maybe not all done, did not have too much time, was rushed---does she look Japanese,or like a warrior attitude?

Well, to start off, I've really missed this place! I wasn't very active when I started drawing here, and I'm really surprised that I remembered the password to this account!

Last time I drew here I was around 15 years old, and now I'm turning 20 in about 5 months. Oh how time has flown! I remember the usernames of most of the people mentioned in the "Today's Oekaki Highlight" heading, which is really comforting, because you all were still big when I was little. :D

I would just like to say: Hello my old friends of Rydia! <3
mika 2010/6/2 - 23:5:41
I remember you, and I also remember typing in your user name to google to find out if it meant anything (as a mod at the time I always checked user names for dubious meanings) - A cauldron if I remember correctly.....

Antways -good to see you're still around and still doing fine work (hehehe drawing eyes will always get me on your side)
mika 2010/6/2 - 23:8:21
*anyways -not Antways (Damn them ants and their transportation routes!)
black_crochan 2010/6/3 - 11:10:52
Oh mika! I remember you as well! :D How have the... years.... been treatin' ya?
mika 2010/7/8 - 11:39:47

Impressions of Spring--sketch,using textures
dorothyblu 2010/5/31 - 3:25:12
I'm happy with this, and I'm not usually happy with my work;it's just expressing my feelings about Spring in Oregon, much rain and greenness.

"Beauracracy loves Obama"
mika 2010/5/1 - 3:4:54
Had to chuckle to myself at the Obama depiction, I have to admit I do like the guy (from what I've seen of him on YouTube) but I'll also admit to being not the slightest interested in politics as they are all corrupt in one way or another.........
dorothyblu 2010/5/11 - 0:57:39
I had trouble believing I did this,ha,when I saw it;did not remember it.but, yeah, professional politicians are all like that;they're in it for the money and power. Was not supposed to be that way,in start of US,the beginning leaders were all just citizens, who were leaders for a while, not as a permanent job. They all made their living doing something else, but served their country, temporarily,as citizens.Only person lately who as done that, was Jesse Ventura, who was governor, but was career wrestler. He was a good governor. And Gov.Swartzenegger is not in for career, really,he made his living as an actor. You cannot trust these guys,in either party, who deliberately go into it,to be big time politicians,as a permanent career. Why?Cause they will always sell out,to make big money and power.Look at Pres.Clinton;went into politics as a permanent career, wanted the power and money. does not matter which party, this law is what determines whether someone will become a crooked politician or not.Yes,big money and power does corrupt.

kutedymples 2010/3/14 - 14:29:32

embo 2010/3/22 - 17:26:7

Portrait of Governor Kulongoski,"TAXES ARE GOOD!!TAXES ARE HOLY!!"
dorothyblu 2010/3/7 - 4:10:7
(he's the Democats' governor of Oregon)--square of face as they come, sigh.
dorothyblu 2010/3/8 - 20:23:24
the horrible thing is,it really looks like him,ha ha ha--I'm going to cd it,take it to a printer, get that special paper, and put this, and lettering on a t-shirt,for myself.yes,I am;I know how they do it;the lettering above the picture will say"GOT TAXES??"and below the pic,"Oregon! The Tax state!"I already email that whole thing, with letters,to all my friends, and the local newspaper(the liberal one)an d put it all over the Oregonian newspaper,so everyone in Oregon gets their fifteen thousand bucks worth(he just had his portrait painted). My lawyer loved it,he thinks I'm totally nuts ha ha. I AM
mika 2010/5/1 - 3:0:41
I've no idea who he is (UK dweller) he reminds me of Dr Phil though......:)
dorothyblu 2010/5/11 - 0:45:40
just as crooked
dorothyblu 2010/5/11 - 1:0:48
(Did you know "Dr.Phil"is not a real doctor anymore;he was de-licensed,lost his license, cause he had sex with a patient, and they threw him out.Oprah never bothers to mention this fact.)

aww this is just lovely each leaf is diffrent the attention to detail is great wish flowers had these textures for real
mika 2010/5/1 - 2:58:59
Agree with Phil on this one, I've seen technically perfect paintings of flowers but that's all they were 'paintings of flowers' this actually looks alive and how a flowerbed should look -slightly chaotic like mother nature intended.

Painful progression of feet and legs thru rehabilitation:(sort of)meant to show the movement, and the pain of muslces, tendons, the feet, legs, thru the messy, painful therapy.(I'm going to it,and I'm not sure if it will do any good.)But I wanted to express it,for myself.
mika 2010/5/1 - 2:54:36
The reason behind the pic and the pic just go together so well, whilst I applaud the surreality I can't help but imagine the pain it portrays, it's wonderful yet hard to look at, it has a story albeit a sad one.
