kelli 2005/3/1 - 21:10:53I always avoided drawing hands and faces, so I thought I'd do a pic that had them both XD....it's not done yet, but any tips you guys could give me would be great happywaterbottle 2005/3/1 - 21:36:21 heee this looks great! the skin tones kick arses oO but, I would make nails on the hand, and make darker shading under the thumb, because it looks like it's stuck to the hand. Maybe you can make the wrist thinner... I would also try to add more eyelashes to the eye, or at least make them darker... and don't forget the eyebrow! :P wow I can't wait to see this finished, I love the idea :D bananarana 2005/3/2 - 19:29:55 Hands are such a pain... we should just chop them all off! :D Ahem. happywaterbottle pretty much said all you need to know. Only thing I wanna add is that the pupil in the eye should be in the middle of the iris. If you were trying to portray an eye that's looking to the side and somewhat up, move the iris up more so that it disappears under the folds of the upper eyelid. Otherwise, this is looking very nice. Your shading's really nice, and I find your color palette oddly cute. o.O; Can't wait to see the finished product. :D kelli 2005/3/3 - 18:28:11 There are still some major issues with this, but I’m calling it finished anyway. XD I want to thank bananarana and happywaterbottle for their great tips, I think I did all but the tip concerning the eye...I would have had to redraw the whole eye, and it had taken me quite awhile to get it the way it was....but I’ll definitely keep it in mind for the next picture I do. Or something poetic like that. xD Only crit I have for this would be the petals: make some a little smaller and larger (like what you did with the flowers). Petals typically don't fall straight down and in a line--some are closer to us, and some are further away. This should give your picture even more depth. :D ...That probably didn't make any sense. That looks like the blue marker I used to have!" I was amazed. I told everyone I could about it. I finally downloaded the JAVA plugin I needed for Mozilla.
