Good Work! monkeyman 2004/1/23 - 17:11:45 wow!! great job stardust!!! i really like this one. the folds are awesome as well as the tonage!! this is polish worthy i'd say! coleslaw 2004/1/23 - 19:34:23 wow! this is so, so cute!! great legs, great skirt, great clothing folds, great, great tones, awesome job on everything!! awesome ears, to, they're SO pretty ♥ i love it :D coleslaw 2004/1/23 - 19:45:21 oooh.. you want C&C... *slow evil grin* XD i didn't read that part of your comment.. well, in that case: the hair is fine, though it could be more defined cleaner. the eye is a little big (but hey, it's anime :D) and make sure we can see at least some of the eye brow. the pupil of the eye is usually level to the dip between the bridge of the nose and the forehead, but right here the bottom of the eye is aligned there. the mouth is a little too low, but it would look fine if the eye was in the right place. the ear is great, but it's a little high.. it looks fine with the hair, but the face goes down so low that it looks a little odd and should be moved down a little. that's it for the face, and that's where most of the problems are. the arms are fine, but they oculd use just a little more definition (that is an INCREDIBLY nit-picky statement, because arms are VERY hard to perfect, especially for me XD). the stomach is a LITTLE bit long, just barely, and the spine is a little odd in that it starts to slope down, then straightens out almost perfectly. this is mostly possible, but the length of the stomach makes it look abnormal. the breasts are fine, the clothing folds in the shirt are probably (definitely) better (way better) than (any of) mine. :D the paws could also be more defined and detailed. now for the lower body. GREAT, absolutely PERFECT legs!!!! i can't do anything that good, seriously!! i'm really impressed.. but the other knee is a TINY bit too high, because if you look at the hand that's on that same side (in the back), it's not as high as the knee, and it looks odd. the skirt is great, nice tones, and i love the socks!! they're awesome, the folds are great. the body is truly PHENOMINAL, really.. it could be a sor of art all by itself XD i'm like in love with the body :D the tail is cute, too, but it almost looks like one part doesn't connect to the other. that's all the crits i have :D great job, really!! coleslaw 2004/1/23 - 19:47:45 *more defined AND cleaner *could *work (instead of "sor") hitotsu 2004/1/23 - 19:53:7 Great catgirl ^__^ the side profile is drawn well, and I loves teh tonage XD chrislagace 2004/1/23 - 22:48:42 yay cat girls are uber cool. ^_^ nice work on the tones as well ^_^ |

XD let me start with the hair. it's nice, and it is naruto's, but it could use more shading. i'm sure you'll get into it more when you're familiar with oekaki, but you should try to define some strands, or clumps, purely by shading. no matter how bad it looks in the beginning, you're still trying, and practice makes perfect!! ;D now for the face. the face has nice proportions, and it shows some skill. nice eyes, and mouth :D but.. the eyebrows, they're missing! XD alot of beginners do that, and some intermediates, too :D heck, i used to do that sometimes :O it's really not obvious at all in this picture, but if you'd drawn open eyes it would be VERY obvious. the face could use alot more shading, under the bottom lip and the neck, and some shading to indicate cheek and eye bones. but that's kinda advanced :3 the ears are really nice! very detailed :D nice headband, cool background :D this is a really good first, welcome to TACo!!! ♥ |
