you did a darn good job already, to be honest! and the trails of white make it look like steam, as if it's a hot spring :) it's really practice, there are no tricks. :) keep at it!

i love the hair too!

Oh, what I would do right now to soak in a hot spring like this one...

Firstly, I love that the entire picture is so foggy. It certainly helps the girl look like she's in a hot hot place. : )

Like everyone has been saying, making good water and sky involves practice! I have one request for you: the next time you draw a picture on oekaki, make it bigger! The canvas you used for this picture is kinda tiny, and my eyes aren't as young as they used to be! With a larger canvas comes the ability to draw more detail, to experiment freely with brushstrokes--basically, you have more room to work with and experiment with! And it doesn't have to be a canvas that's like 100000000x1000000000. Just a simple 300x300 would be large enough.

Keep oekaki'ing, and keep practicing! I already love how much potential I can see in this picture, from the water droplets in the hair and back, to the hot steams from the water, and even the reflection of the stones and clouds in the water's surface. You have a good eye for detail!

Ooo! cozy! I like it. I really don't have anything to add that hasn't been said already, you could try copying pictures directly, or you could just use them to see what the sky-water reflection deal should look like. I do like the steamy, and I wanna go to deserted hotsprings!!
