dekutree64 2004/12/30 - 4:20:20
Dude, that's the awesomest! Simple yet complex, with good depth blur too.
nai 2004/12/30 - 6:12:16
Wow--That's amazing. Rarely do I see landscape oekakis anywhere. Mostly it's just anime/nature/anthro or people.
The colours seem just perfect, however in the back of my head I think it couldn't hurt to set more of a contrast by using a few more darker colours to emphasize the details & depth.

Labyrinth! I hope David bowie isn't in there incase he starts singing, love the detail you put into it and in one colour only!...cool.

ooh i know *of* you! you made 2 drawings and they were both hall of famed, you're amazing!!! wonderful detail in this, you should draw more often!!
sexylyon 2004/12/30 - 14:7:55
thanks guys! now i remember why i like it here (grin)
nai: i do agree that it could use more depth of contrast, but my problem has been caution. my screen at home (that i do most drawing on) is very good and pushed toward the lighter end of things - so i can see a lot of depth in shadows (i rarely work with black, trying to use darker hues instead) but people have complained that i often do my drawings so dark that they can't see anything at all! therefore i am experimenting with mid/high tone drawings instead.
jellybean: grin. you remember those? that was a million years ago, and i remember that one of them was a thank you to Megs. is she still around?
and i do draw a lot! just not here, it seems.
