Aw my gawd. Thats so incredibly superb. ;3; I wish I could draw and color like that. But, this somewhat reminds me of a childhood matter. Its hard to explain, but it brings back memories, shall I say? n_n

I love how you used the patterns in a way thats hardly even noticible. And the colors are great too. ^_^

*W* Excellent use of patterns and colors!!!! The hanger and bobbin (I believe that's what one calls a thread thingy :p) look grrrrrreat! XD Very unique and refreshing style.
jellybean 2004/4/15 - 22:47:46
amazing. how do you make those patterns? i have never seen them! TELL ME!!!
senobdec 2004/4/16 - 1:15:16
Some of them are in textures in Shi Painter Pro... other than that I have no idea. This IS really nice looking... looks kinda like a pastel crayon on slightly rough board.... I like.

polished indeed!! the texture is so fine!!! its so smooth!! nice colour combi too!

Hello, and thankyou for such grace and love!!!
I have been looking throughout all of these rooms and am really happy to see everyone's work. I will give back the love by drawing more and dropping a line here and there.
The patterns in this are yes from shipainterpro? and they have a weird button that made some of it look like chalk, i guess. but really i made a lot of transparent boxes and large brush/texture combos to "hide" the stark patterns.
to someone who mentioned: yes this is much about memory, and how we forget things to remember later, good and bad. as far as i can tell, i am quite "old" compared to many of you guys!!!! but i am more like a kid now than i ever was, and this has helped my drawing so so so much.

It reminds me a lot of Delirium from The Sandman..especially the text at the top. I love the softness to the colors and all the texture. Great picture!

i think if there was ever any texture to perfectly define the meaning of nostalgia, it would be these textures you used. Simply wonderful--hall of fame material.

Quite an unusual thing to see on an oekaki board... Anyway it's beautiful, the texture is awesome.
