Kind of an experiment - I love traditional Chinese landscapes, and I wanted to take a shot at doing something of the sort on a computer. Is it just me, or did it come out looking more like a woodblock than a painting, though...?

You might want to make the lines more thinner...^^ but anyway....very good!!!!! Song chao shan shui...nice!! ^____~

I LOVE IT.

It reminds me of Samuri Jack.
selankatt 2004/1/4 - 11:6:14
But Samurai Jack is Japanese.

ooh! I think it's lovely! It looks so detailed with all the curved lines and all~ What do the characters say? something.. something.. mountain water? ^^''
xue 2004/1/4 - 11:45:13
The first two characters are "Song dynasty." The whole thing is "Song dynasty landscape" - pretty uncreative. ^^;

oh wow...this is very beautiful and detailed. I quite like your delicate coloring on the plants. The only thing that i would recommend is if the bg was a solid beige rather, it would bring out the plants much more. wonderful experiment, never the less :o)

hmm... u might have wanted to add a small bird or two in the far distance, but then, the unbalance makes me think and gives me a feeling of something going on and on forever. i agree with embo about the bg, and i also want to add that it looks kind of rushed. ah! but don't take this to heart because i often rush things too. ^^;;; other than that, this is very lovely! i, too love traditional chinese art and u did a fabulous job. nice and serene and authentic looking! *.*

This is really awesome! I like how you used thick lines and thin lines together. And the colors... oooh. Pretty...
