About the artist:

I am currently 22 and attending the University of Washington in Seattle. Having completed an undergraduate B.S. in Informatics and minor in Mathematics, I am staying a fifth year at the University to further explore and satiate my artistic inclinations by participating in a nine month collaborative digital animation project with the Computer Science department.

I have always been interested in working within the video game and/or animation and movie industry. The ability to bring to 'life' and share the products of imagination with others is a passion that has always served as fuel for inspiration. Plus, I just can't stop playing those video games (though I did manage to quit WoW...)!

I have much to explore, and am even more excited to learn all that I can within the realm of conceptual art and illustration. Though sacrificing personal art-time for theorum-proofing does indeed suck, I would like to believe it has given me a passion for learning, positively affected my work ethic, and lead to development of way-too-many interests which fit nicely with my art-brain (i.e. my favorite book is "Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels"... no... really). Just the same, thank goodness I'm finished with it! On with the art!

I primarily work with Painter, though the benefits of Photoshop cannot be denied. I will hopefuly soon have (via the nine-month CSE UW Animation project) considerable experience with Maya, and 3DSM (can't wait!) as well.

Lately (Mid-2006) I have have the great pleasure of working on some trading cards with amazing penciler Mark Brooks for DC Comics. I never imagined doing anything within the comic industry, but it sure is fun, the people are great, and I learned a ton!
